Pork county Agents are looking for suspected intruders in their homes, who say they entered a vacation rental home at midnight while their family was sleeping.

Sheriff Grady Judd said the incident happened early on April 1 when a vacationing family member in Michigan was still sleeping in a rental home in Davenport.

A 19-year-old girl sleeping in one of the bedrooms upstairs said she felt the bed sheets thrown out of her and then returned to her top. She initially thought she was one of her brothers playing April Fool’s Day, and she went to sleep.

“My daughter is like a man coming into her room, waking her up, throwing light on her face and seeing what she is wearing, what she is wearing. I told me I had thrown away the blanket and threw it back, and I ran out of room. “

The teenage dad saw the suspect walking from one of the rooms upstairs and asked what he was doing at home. The man replied that he had just entered through the open door.

When his father asked him to show him which door to take him downstairs, he said the man had bolted it off the sliding glass door behind him.

Sheriff Judd said at a press conference Wednesday afternoon, “Dad said the man was stoned or seemed to be off the stone.” “Maybe he was crazy or was in the wrong house, but he apparently wandered around the house for a while before his father met him.”

Sheriffs said the authorities were concerned that there could be other victims as the house was located in an area with other short-term rental properties, saying, “We are nervous about more sinister crimes. It may be a person. “

The agent searched for the suspect and brought in a K9 and a drone to assist in the search, but could not find him.

“This is a serious business when people start to break into your home, especially when you’re there, and when you’re really asleep and relatively defenseless,” Judd said. “Home burglary will be occupied. Breaking into someone’s house while they are there is a very serious crime.”

The suspect is described as a nicely cut black man about 6 feet tall, 2 inches tall, and weighing about 160 pounds. He is estimated to be 19 to 20 years old.
