One cruise line recently took some barbaric shots at Disney Parks and Resorts because it was too expensive for consumers.
There is no denying that Disney Parks and Resorts is an incredibly expensive vacation. For many guests, Disney World or Disneyland is a once-in-a-lifetime trip. This problem has increased exponentially over the past few years as prices have risen across the board. Since the American park was closed and reopened in 2020 I’ve seen ticket prices go up and food parts go downAnd a lack of overall experience when compared to what was offered just a short time ago.
Currently, a vacation company is targeting Disney and its prices.
Princess Cruises recently announced a commercial promoting a cruise to Alaska. We never explicitly mention Disney, but the video isn’t too subtle about who criticizes what.
The 30-second short clip ad says, “There are mountains, animal kingdoms, wilderness lodges, trains, riverboats, boulevards, and fireworks.”
The commercial ends with the line “The princess takes you to Alaska, where the magic is real … and half the price.”
It’s undeniable that Disney Park is now a completely different beast. This is mainly due to the COVID-19 pandemic that occurred in early 2020. This horrifying and deadly virus has unprecedentedly closed both American Disney Parks. It works. Over time, both parks have reopened, but the interior has changed radically. Currently, Shanghai Disneyland and Hong Kong Disney are closed due to COVID-19.
During the pandemic, guests saw their favorite experiences disappear in front of them, with characters meeting and greetings. Shows like the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular at Disney’s Hollywood Studios have also been removed, giving guests a very limited experience of choice. Currently, guests feel the full weight of the pandemic, mostly when visiting Disney Park in their wallets.
