Prime Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy said Chitravati Balancing Reservoir (CBR) will be developed into a tourist attraction.

Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy arrived in Parnapalle, Lingala Mandal on Friday as part of a two-day tour of his hometown, where he was granted a loan at a cost of Rs 5.6 crore procured by Privendula Area Development Authority. Inaugurated a developed tourist building and boat system. (PADA) funds.

Facilities included a lake view restaurant and a park developed at Rs 4.1 crore, a four-passenger speedboat and a floating jetty at Rs 1.5 crore.

After spending some time on the waterfront, the prime minister boarded a boat.

Deputy Prime Minister SB Amzath Basha, District Minister A. Suresh, Member of Parliament (Kadapa) YS Avinash Reddy, Dharmavaram MLA K. Venkatrami Reddy, AP Tourism Managing Director Kanna Babu, Collector V. Vijayarama Raju were present.

On the occasion, the Prime Minister said CBR has great potential and suggested developing the water bodies into a bustling tourist spot.

He then visited a photo exhibition depicting the district’s major reservoirs and projects arranged by the Irrigation Department.
